One of my biggest beauty bugbears is having to do my make up in the morning when I’ve just woken up, my skin looks dull and puffy. Just an hour makes a world of difference, on the weekends when I get up slightly later and have more time, my make up always looks so much better and seemingly lasts for longer.
Because of this, I’m always on the look out for products which can help. I find toning helps the skin appear more refreshed and I love my acid toners, so a feature in August’s Vogue on Hyaluronic Acid (HA) caught my eye.
I was really excited to get my hands on Pestle & Mortar’s Pure Hyaluronic Serum* to try out, one of the products featured in Vogue which is a hydrating serum formulated with HA.
I’ve been applying this serum each morning and I love the results!
I’ve been ill for seemingly the past 4324234 years with a really persistent cold. I’m tired and it shows, my skin and hair look dull.
At times like these I try to incorporate more raw organic food into my diet, like green juices and lots of fruit and veg. In pretty perfect timing, I was sent Antipodes new Worship serum, a certified organic (and Vegetarian Society approved) serum which combats signs of early ageing and skin damage from the elements.
If I had to pick my favourite face mask, Glamglow’s mud mask would be a serious contender. It had been on my wishlist for a while having read and heard great things about it. I picked it up recently and really loved it.
I’ve been waiting for today for weeks! My Naked palettes are some of my desert island products, I use them every day and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of a fourth.
When I first heard that the next palette would have a smoky theme, I was a little disappointed. I abused the Jersey Shore style smokey eye as a teenager, around the time of my platinum and black panels hair phase (I’m sorry, gods of hair decency). I love the first 3 Naked Palettes because they’re so versatile, I wasn’t sure where a smoky palette would fit into my daily make up collection.
Having seen more about it since and now tried it, I’m pleased to say that my original concerns were not warranted. Whilst it features a darker palette, it’s still very neutral and I’m looking forward to seeing what looks I can create with it.
It’s been ages since I picked up anything other than the odd refill from MAC, so I felt like a haul was in order.
